Access Options

Mount Research Storage on a Computer

Research Storage can be mounted directly on your computer under certain conditions. When mounted directly, the storage appears as a drive letter under Windows or a folder under Linux, Unix, or macOS. You can read and write to the storage just like you do with your computer’s hard drive.

NC State’s Hazel HPC cluster

Research Storage is mounted on every node in NC State’s Hazel HPC cluster. HPC jobs have access to the data. See the Research Storage on HPC page for more information.

Globus

The Globus research data management service makes it easy to transfer data between systems and share data with others. All of the Research Storage and HPC volumes are available as Globus endpoints. See the Research Storage on Globus page for more information.
