Access Your NC State Google Drive from Globus
NC State’s Globus subscription includes Globus for Google Drive . This allows you to access and share data stored in your NC State Google Drive using the any of the Globus options:

Navigate to the NC State Google Drive Connector Collection to access your NC State Google Drive from Globus.
Initial Set Up
If you are not already logged in to Globus, click Look-up your organization.., select North Carolina State University, then click Continue:
Login with your NC State Unity ID and password:
Click Allow if asked about Globus Web App permissions:
Click Continue if asked about Authentication/Consent for the Globus transfer service:
Click your Unity ID@ncsu.edu :
Click Allow if asked about allowing the Globus Web App to manage data on NC State Google Drive Connector:
You should now have access to your NC State Google Drive:

In the Globus File Manager, open the NC State Google Drive Connector Collection:
To share data from your individual NC State Google Drive, double-click My Drive. You may also share data from a Team Drive (aka Shared Drive) by double-clicking Team Drives.
You can either share an existing folder or create a new folder using the Globus Web App. To create a new folder, navigate to where you want the folder located and click New Folder from the menu on the right:
Click the green checkmark button and the folder should be created within a few seconds. Double-click the new folder to navigate to it.
Click Share from the menu on the right:
Click Continue if asked for Authentication/Consent to manage collections on your behalf:
Click Add a Guest Collection:
The only field you need to populate is Display Name. Enter something recognizable to the people you will be sharing your data with. It will be displayed when they search for this Guest Collection. The other fields are optional and can be changed later.
Click Create Collection. You may see this error:
This seems to be a defect with the Globus Web App. Click view more fields to expand the form.
Force encryption on transfers to and from this collection should already be selected. Click the checkbox to select it if it is not. Click Create Collection again.
Share With Others & Configure Permissions
Click Add Permissions - Share With:
The sharing and permission options are pretty straightforward. For sharing with individual users, many other universities and research institutions are connected to Globus and there is a good chance you will be able to locate your colleague’s organizational account by searching next to Username or Email.
The people you share with will receive an automated email message from Globus with a link that will take them directly to your share in the Globus Web App.
